Acetal/Delrin (POM) Rods, Plates & Tubular Bars

Polyoxymethyelene (POM) is the crystalline thermoplastic of choice for impact and wear resistance in a wide range of industrial and mechanical applications. With low, consistent internal stress, the material is easily machined and fabricated, experiencing little dimensional change during machining and use.
POM also resists moisture – making it an ideal material for use in wet environments. Its exceptional strength, stiffness and dimensional stability bring a high level of durability and resilience to application configurations in the automotive, electronics and food processing industries.

Key Features
  • High tensile strength and tensile modulus
  • Low co-efficient of friction
  • Continuous rigidity and strength at temperatures up to 185° F
  • Exceptional resistance to wear, impact and creep in wet and dry environments
  • High resistance to hydrocarbons, solvents and neutral chemicals
  • Dimensionally stable
  • Very low moisture absorption Easily machined and fabricated
Typical Applications
  • Pistons and valves
  • Pump components
  • Manifolds
  • Rollers
  • Fittings
  • Food product forming dies
  • Wear strips
  • Timing screws
  • Gears, bearings and bushings
  • Electrical insulator parts
